Endeavor’s #HerImpact series is part of our ongoing commitment to increase gender diversity within the Endeavor network. #HerImpact is devoted to elevating the voices, sharing the perspectives, and showcasing the professional expertise of women in Endeavor’s global network. Learn more about how you can get involved with Women in High Impact Entrepreneurship at Endeavor here.
Endeavor was founded on the belief that thriving, impactful ecosystems of entrepreneurship can exist anywhere, as long as a few key components are present. Entering emerging markets, we quickly discovered that one of the most significant of these factors is the existence of local role models. Stories of high-profile Silicon Valley entrepreneurs were nice, but their success felt unattainable to aspiring entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Middle East, where Endeavor first launched. There were no encouraging success stories that proved their dreams were possible.
The proven power of entrepreneurial role models to inspire and promote future generations of founders reinforces a larger point: Representation matters.
Diversity among the leaders we look up to, whose stories we hear, and whose perspectives we learn from, builds stronger networks. And we know that when it comes to gender diversity in entrepreneurship, and in Endeavor’s own network, there is huge opportunity for growth.
As we approach International Women’s Day — a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and calling for action to accelerate gender parity — Endeavor is recommitting to changing our narrative and diversifying representation within the content we produce.
This week, we’re dedicating our platforms exclusively to high-impact women in Endeavor’s worldwide network. We invite you to follow along as Endeavor shares posts from investors, academics, entrepreneurs, and executives in our global network, learn from their expertise, and get inspired by their impact. We’ll also be diving into some of the ways that we will work to lessen the gender imbalance in our network and elevate lesser heard voices.
Join us in celebrating #HerImpact.
